Kulturværftet

A regional cultural institution in the former shipyard area, presenting music, theatre, film, exhibitions, talks and workshops, and creating spaces for communities, artistic learning and talent development. 

Museum Helsingør

A maritime, commercial and industrial cultural heritage, where local stories reflect centuries of European exchange. 

Helsingør Biblioteker

One central library (Kulturværftet) and two local libraries, providing free access to books, media and information, as well as shared spaces and activities. 

Helsingør Ungdomsskole

Learning, creativity and community for young people aged 13-20. Here, young people gain a perspective on opportunities to create and set their own direction.

M/S Museet for Søfart

Maritime history, located in the former dry dock next to Kronborg Castle. Award-winning and designed by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG). 

Helsingør Teater

Touring performing arts and the annual international Passage Festival, the largest international festival for performing arts in public spaces in the Nordic region. 

HamletScenen

Denmark's Shakespeare theatre, producing and presenting contemporary theatre at Kronborg Castle with a tradition dating back to 1816. 

Kronborg Slot

A UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Northern Europe's most important Renaissance castles, world-renowned as the setting for Shakespeare's Hamlet. 

Øresundsakvariet

A university-driven marine dissemination centre exploring the unique ecosystem of the Øresund. 

International People’s College

An international folk high school where people from around the world live, learn and develop together. Teaching is in English with a focus on global perspectives, culture and community.

Boliggården

Helsingør Municipality's largest non-profit housing organisation with around 6,000 homes. Boliggården provides a framework for everyday life, community and resident democracy across the municipality.

Aspiranterne

Creative pathways into art, culture and working life. Aspiranterne gives more young people in vulnerable positions experiences, responsibilities and the courage to find their own direction.

Hornbæk Kunsthal

Art and the cultural community in Hornbæk. A vibrant meeting place for art and people. International contemporary art, new perspectives and experiences all year round.

Helsingør Municipality and the Elsinore 2032 association are developing the candidacy together. Project partners contribute knowledge and perspectives from their fields and communities.

The association is also supported by a broad membership of businesses, organisations and individuals. Members and project partners play different roles in the shared work.
