at a glance.

TO BE. Helsingør is bidding to become European Capital of Culture in 2032. With people, nature and technology at its heart, the bid explores who we are, what we could become and where we belong.

Who is behind it. Helsingør Municipality and the Elsinore 2032 association are developing the bid with 13 project partners from cultural and community life.

Selection. The title has not yet been awarded. The first application deadline is 5 October 2026; Denmark’s host city will be designated by the end of 2027.
