On 5 October 2026, Helsingør Municipality and the Elsinore 2032 association submitted Helsingør’s bidbook to the Danish Ministry of Culture.

Under the title To Be …, the application explores Being, Becoming and Belonging.
The next step is the European expert jury’s assessment. If Helsingør is shortlisted, we will develop the application and programme further together.
